Rapid Power Compensation-Based Frequency Response Strategy for Low-Inertia Power Systems

چکیده

To reduce the frequency deviation and rate of change (RoCoF) in a low-inertia power system, some converters are required to provide response (FR) normally associated with and/or RoCoF, by droop/inertia/PD control. In this article, rapid compensation (RPC)-based FR strategy is developed optimize ability compensate grid imbalance power, fully exploiting converter idle capacity. end, first, mathematical proof demonstrated improved performance RPC terms suppression versus droop control, RoCoF inertia identical capacity limit. Moreover, it proven that can achieve consistent respect optimal PD i.e., maximize simultaneously, yet avoiding limitations due unknown parameters. Finally, analyzing operation modes identifying pertinent switching logic, detailed implementation proposed developed. Its superb verified experiment results two-converter simulation an IEEE four-machine two-area system.
